Colette Prosper is a Haitian-American comedy writer, podcaster, and a survivor of New Jersey suburban angst. She loves to write character-driven stories that draw heavily from absurdist humor, and the sometimes odd complexities that arise when navigating life as a first-generation immigrant. Currently homebound in LA, Colette is a member of Amy Aniobi’s inaugural TRIBE Writers' Program, a talent incubator for emerging screenwriters. Colette is also host of The Yummicoco Show, a pop culture variety show podcast, featuring comedy sketches, and freewheeling interviews with TV writers and other creatives including Amy Aniobi, Leila Cohan, Shantira Jackson, and Brandon Coleman. Colette also gave birth to her only child in a Wesleyan University dorm room, and she once had a cantankerous interaction with DMX at a Tower Records.
